This has certainly been a strange and worrisome period. Although there has been much distress and tragedy, we must also remember to celebrate the good things that have come from this.
I am filled with pride hearing the sounds of clapping and cheering that echo around my South London neighbourhood every Thursday at 8pm and seeing the rainbows and signs of support in every other window on my street. There has also been so much support for local businesses, including Activ Camps.
Having not been able to operate over the Easter and May half-term holidays, Activ Camps is admittedly in unknown territory. Essentially we want to find out from you via the survey below whether you’re coming to camp this summer if we run. From this we can assess how viable it is for us to run camps this summer. If you could spare a few minutes to complete the survey below, as honestly as possible, it would be greatly appreciated. So much so that we will be awarding a free week to three entrants, chosen at random!
Parent & Carer survey – Are you joining us this Summer?
Before you complete the survey, please remember that Activ Camps has always had robust health and hygiene policies and procedures. Acting on the guidance of Public Health England (PHE) and the National Health Service (NHS), we will be continuing to put in place a number of further measures to ensure the best possible protection and reassurance for you, your children and our staff.

What we’ve been up to….
While we were sadly not able to run our regular camps over Easter and May Half Term, we are proud to have had a chance to support key workers by providing key worker camps for Graveney School in Tooting. It’s been uplifting to see kids happy and excited to take part in a range of fun activities throughout the week and operating this in a safe manner has given us lots of confidence to move forward this summer. Here are just few of the measures we’ve introduced whilst following government guidelines
- Contactless sign-in
- Morning and afternoon temperature checks
- Regular equipment/surface cleaning
- Reduced group sizes with extra staff
- Regular and check-listed hand-washing
