Our sessions range from introducing adapted versions of the more traditional sports (rugby, football, cricket, netball and rounders) to outright madness in the Body Zorbs or on our giant inflatables. And with rock climbing, archery and Archery Tag also on offer, we’ve got it all.
These adaptations allow children to escape any preconceived ideas they have of the sport and of their capabilities in it. No more “urghh! That’s a boy’s game!” or “I don’t want to.. I’m rubbish at that!”. It simply means all children can get involved, full of enthusiasm and with thoughts only of success.
All the while, however, children continue to develop their sports specific and fundamental motor skills in a safe and inclusive environment.
Activities vary according to the age of the children. This ensures that every child enjoys every moment of their time with us at Activ Camps. Also check out the Rookie Programme for the bigger kids and our Young Leader Programme for 14-17 year olds.
If you’re looking for just outdoor kids activities, a sports camp or even just nearby childcare, Activ Camps is a welcoming and inclusive environment for every child.
ACTIVITIES UNDER COVID – 19 RESTRICTIONS
Activities soon to be returning…
Over the course of the pandemic, to ensure COVID safe camps, we have sadly had to omit several of our favourite activities.
We have missed these and we know that your children have too! We are therefore pleased to tell you that we are optimistic about being able to reintroduce several high end activities for May Half Term and more for Summer!
This will hopefully include old favourites such as our magnificent giant inflatables, Body Zorbs, Archery Tag, swimming* and much more!
Despite this, we must reiterate that the safety of the children, staff and the wider community is still of paramount importance. Whilst we are hopeful that restrictions will further ease on the 17th of May, we still expect there to be restrictions and government guidance to abide by for activity providers such as us. You can view the current government guidance here.
This means we will almost certainly have to ensure sharing of equipment is minimised, with regular cleaning intervals, and even 48 hour quarantine periods for equipment.
With this in mind, we will be unable to bring back these activities during the week as often as we would like. These will be under robust COVID control measures and will have strictly limited availability.
We therefore encourage you to book full weeks at the discounted rate. This will help ensure your child can have the best opportunity on camp to enjoy the full range of activities. This will also ensure even more consistency in the bubbles on camp.
We can’t wait to see you again and are so excited to be able to bring back some of the much missed old favourites!
