Holiday Camp Information & FAQs

Please read our FAQs below for information regarding bookings,  what to bring on camp, timings of the day, groupings, and more…

Bookings

Bookings can be made online by selecting ‘Book Now’ on our website or by clicking here. You will need to create an account and register your children with us first. After this, simply select your preferred season, venue, and dates for your child. After you have selected dates for one child, you can add a sibling by selecting the blue ‘add sibling/additional booking’ button displayed underneath the previous child’s dates. You will then be presented with two options to pay; by card or via childcare vouchers. Please note if you are using Tax-Free Childcare you will still need to select ‘pay with childcare vouchers’.

Bookings must be made by the legal guardian of the child. You will be asked to confirm this before making a booking.

On Camp

Whilst no day quite looks the same at Activ Camps, a typical day at on camp is highly structured, with a straightforward and efficient drop off & collection and timed activities and breaks throughout the day.

The first part of the day is sign-in (08:30  – 09:15), here you and your child will receive a warm welcome from the staff, get signed in, and hand over any medication if necessary. This is also a good chance to speak to our site team if you have any concerns or questions about their day. After this, we will escort your child to a supervised area to be grouped with children from their own age group. They will have a group leader assigned to their group for the day, who will ensure they get to know your child and make sure they are well cared for.

Shortly after this, the non-stop fun begins! Throughout the day, children will normally complete seven activities and these will vary day-to-day. These are delivered by a variety of fully-trained, fun-loving staff. With many of these activities exciting and active they will of course need some breaks during the day! They will have three breaks throughout their day. They will have two short 15-minute breaks in the morning and afternoon, and a 45-minute break for lunch. These are well-supervised and a good chance for children to recharge their batteries for more activities.

At 16:30, the day ends and the sign-out process begins.

Camp Safety, Polices & Procedures

We will not operate any camp unless we have suitably qualified first aiders as part of our staff team on site.

The Lead First Aider will be in charge of all medication and will keep records of all first aid administered.

Medication & Additional Needs

You must inform us if your child has any medical conditions on camp. You will have the option to add this information to your child’s profile when booking.
