We’ve got some BIG news! Well, especially for those of you with the very little children.
Activ Camps will now be opening up to four year olds for full days on camp. Yep, that means you can drop them off as early as 08:30 and they can then enjoy Activ Camps’ non-stop fun activities ALL day, until they are collected from 16:30.
We know that this will come as a great relief to many but for others this news is arriving a year or two too late, with your four year olds all grown up now. We’re very sorry about this however the problem was that previously under our Ofsted registration we simply weren’t allowed to provide care for children of that age for more than four hours (09:00 – 13:00) each day.
We understood that this wasn’t ideal and therefore, having sought to change this for sometime, we are now joining the Early Years and Compulsory Register enabling us to care for your four year olds all day long!
This doesn’t mean that the option to book four year olds on to a half day now won’t be available to you, we equally recognise that this suits some very well. So really, we’re now offering the best of both worlds!
There’ll also be some changes to our provision for the for year olds, all changes being for the better…
- All four year olds will now be cared for by a staff member with a recognised Early Years Childcare qualification.
- They will be helped toward reaching the Early Years Development learning and development goals through tailored activities that all maintain the Activ Camps non-stop fun ethos!
- There’ll be the introduction of some down time activities, including engaging and interactive story time.
- Finally, we will of course maintain our excellent ratios of 1:8
