Outstanding OFSTED Report: A Testament to Excellence at Activ Camps

We’re thrilled to share the outstanding results of our recent Ofsted inspection at Burntwood School during the February half term, which is a true reflection of all of our holiday camps across London. This report validates our unwavering commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, active, and fun environment for children aged 4-14. We believe in creating more than just a holiday camp; we build a community where every child thrives.

Development: Nurturing Growth and Essential Skills

At Activ Camps, we understand that children learn best through play. “The Ofsted report noted, ‘children are asked what the rules are and one child responds, “the number one rule is to have fun”‘; this simple statement beautifully encapsulates the essence of Activ Camps.”

We go beyond mere play, however. We “support their autonomy and well-being”, empowering children to make choices and take ownership of their experiences. Our activities are “focused on learning essential skills like teamwork and balance”, ensuring that every moment is both fun and beneficial at the best camps in London.

Our camps promote “important emotional skills such as empathy and cooperation, helping children develop a sense of belonging within the group”. This focus on emotional well-being creates a supportive and nurturing atmosphere.

Our comprehensive approach focuses on “physical development, social interaction, and creativity”. We provide a diverse range of activities that cater to every child’s interests and abilities.

Activ Camps Environment: Safe, Inclusive, Active and Fun

Creating an “inclusive atmosphere” is at the heart of our mission. We believe that every child deserves to feel welcome and valued. We are committed to creating “a safer environment for all children, fostering a culture of safety and responsibility”. This proactive approach ensures that every child can participate with confidence.

At Activ Camps“children’s choices are respected”. We empower them to participate in activities in a way that resonates with them, fostering a sense of ownership and engagement.

Activ Camps “supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) by adapting activities to enable all children to participate”. Furthermore, we ensure “safety is a top priority within the setting”.

Above all, Activ Camps “puts children’s interests first”. We listen to their feedback and continually strive to improve our programs to meet their needs and exceed their expectations.

Staffing: Dedicated, Trained, and Supportive

Our staff are the backbone of our success. They “demonstrate how to be supportive” and “how to be a good team player”, serving as positive role models for the children.

They are “well prepared through structured training”, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care and engaging activities. We “maintain high standards” in all aspects of our operations, from safety to activity delivery.

Our staff “build familiarity with the children” throughout the week, creating a sense of trust and connection. This personal touch ensures that every child feels seen, heard, and valued.

We’re incredibly proud of the positive feedback from our Ofsted report, and if you want to read the entire thing, you can find it here. It reflects our team’s hard work and dedication and reinforces our commitment to providing exceptional holiday camp experiences. We look forward to welcoming your children to our next camp!
